Kit A

In this kit, students compare, read, and write whole numbers in a variety of representations. Different addition and subtraction algorithms are compared and contrasted. Students compare, represent, and recall multiplication and division facts. Collections of objects, proportional and non-proportional place value manipulatives, and a variety of number lines and charts are included in the kit.

Kit B

This kit focuses on properties of numbers, divisibility, and relationships between properties. Students explore concrete and pictorial models representing decimals and fractions. They plan, describe, and test problem solving strategies and analyze the results. The study of probability using spinners and other manipulatives is included in this kit.
