Families and Facts

Kit A

One-, two-, and three-digit numbers are compared and described. Addition and subtraction problem situations are represented with objects and in number sentences. Basic addition and subtraction facts are modeled and fact families are analyzed for patterns. Counters, connecting cubes, and number lines are included in the kit.

Kit B

Whole numbers are compared and ordered using place value. Number patterns, fractions, and probability are explored. Foundations are laid for the understanding of proportional reasoning and equality. Manuipulatives such as game pieces, number charts, and dominoes are included in the kit.
