Homework Assignments for Developing Number Concepts
Module B, Fourth Grade

The homework assignments were developed by teachers of Math Out of the Box® lessons under the guidance of the Math Out of the Box development team. Each homework assignment is designed for a specific subconcept in the fourth grade Developing Number Concepts: Stories and Statements, Module B. Each homework assignment is labeled by a letter that corresponds to the represented subconcept.

The use of the homework assignments is left to the discretion of the classroom teacher. The assignments are available in Word and PDF for the convenience of the user. Following the list of homework assignments is a link to a guide for parents. This guide has helpful hints for parents who wish to have more information about the mathematical concepts addressed in the homework.

It is the belief of the development team that homework provides opportunities for additional problem solving, for practice of mathematical content and procedures, for the development of connections between mathematics and the real world, and for the development of communication about mathematics beyond the classroom.
