Students explore movement and sound patterns with materials such as rhythm sticks. They design their own patterns and investigate adding another element to a repeating pattern. Students sort and classify sets of objects. They gather data and display the information in simple tables and graphs. A class journal is kept throughout the pattern and data lessons.
