A Standards-based K-5 Curriculum
Math Out of the Box® is a K-5 mathematics curriculum developed in the College of Engineering and Science at Clemson University. It was completed early in 2008 and is published by Carolina Biological Supply Company. The Math Out of the Box team has also created a companion professional development program for teachers. The overarching goal of this project is to fulfill the mathematical promise that exists in every child by providing teachers with innovative materials, a mathematically challenging curriculum, and high quality professional development.

We are pleased to announce that Carolina Curriculum has repackaged Math Out of the Box into grade level sets as another option to purchase. The materials contained in these sets do not include manipulatives that are found in most classrooms which were previously included in the kits. Each grade-level set contains a Teacher's Edition for Numbers and Operations, Algebra/Data, Geometry, and Measurement; student books for Numbers and Operations; manipulatives; and access to Premium Content online resources. The online resources include student books for Algebra/Data, Geometry, and Measurement, homework for all strands, answers for all student pages, and translations into Spanish. Technology resources and Differentiated Planners will be posted for the 2009/2010 school year.
